MilkNote Privacy Policy

01In short

• MilkNote has no account and no server; your records stay on your phone.
• We do not collect, sell or share your personal data. No ads, no analytics.
• Optional backups are encrypted on your phone with your password before they leave it.

MilkNote is published by Global I-Matrix Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India ("we", "us"). This policy applies to the MilkNote app on Android and iPhone.

02What MilkNote stores

The information you enter — supplier names and phone numbers, milk quantities, rates, payments, holidays, reminder times and app settings — is saved in a database on your device. It is not sent to us.

03Backups

Backups are optional and always encrypted (AES-256-GCM) on your device with a key made from your backup password. The key is kept in your phone's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). We never receive your password and cannot open your backups. If you forget the password, backups cannot be recovered.

• Backup file: you choose where to save or send the encrypted file (Files, email, WhatsApp).
• Google Drive (Pro): MilkNote uses Google Sign-In with the limited drive.appdata permission to store encrypted backups in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive. It cannot see your other Drive files. Your Google account email is shown in the app and kept on your device.

04Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service or server is involved.

05Purchases

MilkNote Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment details. The app only checks with the store whether Pro was purchased on your store account.

06Sharing bills

When you share a monthly bill, MilkNote creates the PDF or message on your device and hands it to the app you choose (for example WhatsApp).

07Data we collect

None. MilkNote has no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs.

08Deleting your data

• In the app: More › Erase all data on this phone.
• Uninstalling MilkNote removes its data from your device.
• Google Drive backups: Google Drive › Settings › Manage apps › MilkNote › Delete hidden app data.
• Backup files you saved yourself can be deleted wherever you stored them.

09Children

MilkNote is a household expense tool and is not directed at children under 13.

10Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
