02Getting started

How do I add my milkman?

More › Suppliers › Add supplier. Enter the name, price and usual morning or evening quantity.

How do I record today's milk?

Tap "Got it" on the Home card, or the + button. Your usual quantity is filled in.

The milkman didn't come today.

Open the day and choose "No delivery". Nothing is charged.

I got an extra evening delivery.

Tap +, choose Evening, and save. It is added as an extra delivery.

03Payments & dues

How are payments applied?

The oldest unpaid milk is settled first. Anything extra is kept as advance for future days.

The milk price changed.

Supplier › Change rate. Pick the date the new price starts; entries from that date recalculate.

Can I edit or delete a payment?

Yes. Payments tab › tap the payment › Edit or Delete.

04Backup & restore

How do I back up?

More › Backup. Set a backup password, then Save backup file, or connect Google Drive (Pro).

Moving to a new phone?

Install MilkNote, choose Restore, pick your backup file or Google Drive backup, and enter your backup password.

I forgot my backup password.

Backups are encrypted with it, so they cannot be opened without it. Set a new password and make a fresh backup from the phone that still has your data.

05MilkNote Pro

What does Pro include?

Google Drive backup, monthly bill PDF and WhatsApp sharing, unlimited suppliers and pick-days reminders.

I bought Pro but it isn't showing.

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase, signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (Order history).

06Reminders

I don't get reminders.

Allow notifications for MilkNote in your phone settings. On Android, also turn off battery optimisation for MilkNote.

07Delete your data

More › Erase all data on this phone. To remove Google Drive backups: Google Drive › Settings › Manage apps › MilkNote › Delete hidden app data.
